Credible sustainability, in practice
FSC certification, EUDR-ready traceability, and worker protections — evidenced at every step.
Our commitment to the environment, our farmers, and ethical business practices
Tat Win's sustainability story is built on three distinct pillars that address the full supply chain — from the plantation to your factory floor. Each pillar is independently certified and continuously verified.
We do not treat sustainability as a marketing exercise. It is woven into how we source, process, and ship — and it is documented at every step.
Responsible operations — validated by independent third parties
The certifications at the core of responsible sourcing and traceability — each independently audited. Our full certification stack is set out on the About page.
Our FSC™ Forest Management commitments
FSC™ FM · Forest ManagementBeyond the chain of custody, Tat Win is committed to how the forest itself is managed. These are the commitments we declare — and hold ourselves to — against the ten principles of the FSC™ Forest Management (FM) standard, each underpinned by our own sustainable forest management policies.
-
Compliance with laws
We manage our forest plantations in line with all applicable laws, regulations, and agreements governing sustainable forest management, and with FSC™ requirements — so that resource use stays responsible, transparent, and sustainable.
-
Workers’ rights and conditions
We support fair, lawful employment — appropriate pay and benefits, opportunities to develop, and the basic safety and occupational-health protections every worker is entitled to.
-
Indigenous peoples’ rights
We respect and protect the legal rights and the customary and cultural rights of Indigenous peoples and local communities.
-
Community relations
We work with local communities to improve quality of life and support sustainable development — giving them room to take part, share their views, and use land and resources appropriately, on terms agreed together.
-
Benefits from the forest
We keep our raw materials and processes — concentrated latex, skim crepe, skim block — aligned with sustainable forest management, and we support communities in making appropriate use of plantation resources and non-timber products, on mutually agreed terms.
-
Environmental values and impacts
We work to conserve forest resources and reduce our environmental impact: safe chemical management, protection of water sources, less chemical use where we can, and proper disposal of containers and waste.
-
Management planning
We develop and regularly review our plantation management plans against FSC™ requirements — setting objectives and practices that hold economic, social, and environmental aims together, and improving them over time.
-
Monitoring and assessment
We run a traceability system across the supply chain, so raw material can be shown to come from legal sources, free of deforestation — and we review and strengthen our policies, practices, and management systems continuously.
-
High Conservation Values
We prioritise the protection of High Conservation Value (HCV) areas, and manage our plantations with the care needed to avoid harm to conservation-significant areas and natural resources.
-
Responsible management activities
We carry out plantation management in a systematic, responsible way — mindful of safety, good housekeeping, sensible use of resources, and reducing environmental impact — following our own established procedures.
