Proactive compliance

Ready for the EU Deforestation Regulation

EUDR polygon mapping of plantation land parcels
EUDR

We prohibit what the EU prohibits — and we document it

Tat Win shares the EU's goal to fight deforestation and forest degradation. We comply with EUDR — the regulation that prohibits products linked to deforestation from entering the EU market.

So our policies map cleanly to the regulation: deforestation risk assessed plantation by plantation, due diligence documented for every shipment, and continuous training across the farmers and collectors who supply us.

How we trace

Synchronised Traceability™ System

Every shipment links back through the full chain. Here is how each element connects.

Order Number Your purchase order — the anchor for all downstream records
BL / DO Bill of Lading or Delivery Order — the shipment document
Supplier Tat Win entity and production records linked to this shipment
Farmers Individual smallholder data — names, land parcels, locations
Production Process Batch ID, processing date, operators, test results
Polygon mapping since 2023

Every plantation in our supply network has been geographically mapped with precise geolocation coordinates. Risk assessment for deforestation links is conducted for each parcel. This data is available for EU due diligence verification.

Our compliance approach

How Tat Win implements EUDR requirements

Polygon-mapped plantation boundaries for EUDR compliance

Risk mitigation built into operations — not bolted on as a compliance exercise.

  • Since 2023, every plantation supplying Tat Win has been mapped with precise GPS coordinates. Polygon boundaries define each land parcel. This data underlies our due diligence and is shareable with buyers for their own EUDR filings.
  • We conduct risk assessments that check each parcel against deforestation databases and satellite land-cover data. Parcels with any flags are investigated and — if unresolved — removed from the supply base.
  • Our due diligence system is designed to align with the EUDR's requirements: source identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation. Due diligence statements are prepared per shipment and can be shared with auditors, CSOs, and customers.
  • We collaborate with stakeholders through educational workshops, technical assistance, and best-practice sharing. Farmers and suppliers understand what EUDR requires and how their records support compliance.
  • Tat Win shares Due Diligence reports with independent auditors, civil society organisations, and customers on request. We do not treat compliance documentation as proprietary. It exists to be verified.
  • Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. We run workshops on deforestation and degradation with smallholders and plantation owners, and invest in initiatives that restore degraded land and protect biodiversity across the regions we source from.
